Private cremation means your pet is cremated individually, and only your pet’s ashes are returned to you.

Semi-Private cremation is available for smaller pets and means your pet is cremated in the same chamber as another pet, but the pets are kept separated. You will still receive only your pet’s ashes back.
Communal cremation is an option for families who do not wish to have their pet’s ashes returned. Your pet is cremated with other pets, and the ashes are not returned to the family. Keepsakes such as a clay paw print, ink paw or nose print, or fur clipping may still be available upon request.
If you choose Private or Semi-Private cremation, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you. If you choose Communal cremation, ashes are not returned.
When your pet is received by Borden, an identification number and tag are assigned. That identification stays with your pet throughout the cremation process. Once the cremation is complete, the identification tag remains with your pet’s ashes inside the urn.
Your pet’s ashes are returned in a wood urn. You will also receive a certificate of cremation, a condolence card, and a memorial bookmark with a poem and a seed heart that can be planted in remembrance of your pet.
